Maria Carmela Milano & Federica Terracina – the Heart As Map

From the industrial bridge, surrounded by traffic and old factories, a large fabric heart spills its woollen arteries over the metal structure, as roots of a new way of approaching life. This is the message coming out, like a rebel skein: slow down everyday’s rhythm of life, slow down the accelerated heartbeats and match them to the earth’s heartbeat. To realise this project, the two artists, who’s work crosses like a knitting stitch, rediscover Knitting Art, the old habit of sewing and knitting. The materials they use and that climb over the city are all upcycled.
